Dean’s daughter informed me that he passed on Tuesday from complications of a neck tumor and lung cancer. A long time supporter of senior softball and the umpiring league, plus managing and being a tournament director. He prided himself in saying that he gave better second place trophies than most tournaments did for first. He was one of the hardest working proponents of senior softball that I’ve known.
