Darryl began playing softball in 1976, first in the Sacramento Church League and then in the California State Employee’s Men’s and Co-ed Leagues. He also played in various Sacramento city leagues. Darryl began playing senior softball in 2005 with Wilson Trophy. In 2010 he played for and managed the Cal Energy team, and in 2012 and 2013 he sponsored, managed and played for MBA Elite.
Darryl’s most memorable season was in 2014 when his MBA Elite team, sponsored by his older brother Don, won the SSUSA Triple Crown in the 60 major division. Other teams he has played for and managed include Tri-C Machine and Incrediwear.
Darryl has been active in a number of senior softball organizations. He has served as Vice-President of the South Placer Senior Softball Club and Vice-President of the Sacramento Tournament Player’s Association (STPA). He has been a member of the NCSSA Board of Directors since 2018 and is currently serving as Board Secretary and Chair of the Rankings Committee. Darryl also umpires in NCSSA and STPA tournaments when not playing. When he’s not involved in softball activities, Darryl and his wife Julie love to travel and see the world as much as possible.
Pete started playing softball in 1976. He formed, played, and managed Boulder, Colorado’s Boomerang Softball Club for 28 years. In 2008, he started playing in the NCSSA and was a founding member of the Redwood City Five-O’s, Six-Five-O’s, Turn Two and the Next Generation Chiefs three of which are still active. Pete has managed Turn Two and Chiefs for a combined nine years. In 2013, Pete elected to the Redwood City Señors Softball Club Board of Directors where he has served as Vice President, League Commissioner, Web Master, Tournament Director and on the Rules Committee. For the last three years, he has served on the NCSSA Board of Directors responsible for team and player registration.
