General Bat Information for all Members,
Most members may not understand the difference between the Associations that test bats. Seniors should only use Senior bats. They are the most lively and the cheapest. They are made to hit the .44/375 Senior ball.
There are 3 different types of bats for sale now:
Senior Softball
USSSA
ASA, now called USA
You do not want to use USSSA or ASA bats in Senior Softball tournaments. They are not as good as bats made for the Seniors to use. And most of them have not been approved for Senior Softball. If you want to see which bats have been approved for Senior play, go online to Hennessey’s SSUSA website and they have a list of approved bats for Senior play.
