Today, April 5, 2020, Ridge Hooks passed away after a long battle with pneumonia and infections. Ridge was the owner and CEO of the Softball Players Association, and the owner of the National Senior Softball Hall of Fame. The SPA is a Senior Softball Association based in Mustang, Oklahoma, and runs many Senior tournaments in the East and Southern parts of the country. Ridge was instrumental in getting the 10 associations that had a Senior Softball program to meet yearly, beginning in 2000, to discuss rules, geographic restrictions, etc. This Senior Summit helped to organized the sport of Senior Softball into what we have today. Ridge Hooks was one of the pioneers of Senior Softball and will be missed by many.
