Howard Patridge, a long-time member of the Senior Softball circuit, passed away on August 4, 2017 at the age of 76. Howie was renowned for his friendly attitude and love of practical jokes. He was a three-sport starter in high school and played softball his entire life until this year when his battle with cancer sapped his strength. He played on some of the Redwood City teams like the Cardinals and the State Roofing Royals, but also played on the Gamblers and other northern California teams. A native of Half Moon Bay, he lived his entire life in that coastside town. Howie usually played third base and could be found as often chatting with runners or the third base coach as paying attention to the game! His wife, Naomi, survives him along with other family. Services were held earlier in the month including an outdoor service at the ball field that he loved.
