Hello friends and fellow ballplayers…
I have been given authorization, from the family of Danny Kleier, to announce the untimely passing of this good friend and ballplayer. About 2 weeks ago Danny was diagnosed with having a very large tumor on his brain. This tumor was determined to be malignant and, due to its size, inoperable. Danny chose the option to attempt surgery in the hopes that it would give him more time to organize his affairs, and prepare for the inevitable. Danny had surgery on November 12th, but due to complications he passed on November 14th. At his time his family is making arrangements for a “Celebration of Life” memorial service to be held in the Dublin area. I will pass this information on to everyone upon receiving the details.
Danny will be missed by all who knew him and/or had the good fortune of playing softball with/or against him. Rest in peace Danny.
