Our 2018 season has come to a close and some 98 teams played in 27 NCSSA Tournaments. 12 Tournaments were cancelled for various reasons. 2019 promises to be a good year also with 39 Tournaments scheduled.
This is NCSSA’s 30 Year Anniversary and I am very proud to have been President for the past four years. I will serve my fifth and last year with the knowledge that this organization continues to be one of the best Senior Softball Organizations in the country. As I have said many times, we are a volunteer organization and many members have stepped up and made this organization what it is today.
I want to thank the fifteen Board members who oversee the planning and commission of this organization. They participate in meetings and serve on committees which make NCSSA run efficiently. They do this on a volunteer basis and receive no compensation.
I also want to acknowledge our Tournament Directors who do an outstanding job of putting together Tournament play for all teams concerned. Also, our team managers without whom this great system could not function. Also the umpires and scorekeepers who provide a great assist and have been very professional in all they do
In closing, let me say again I am very proud to be a part of NCSSA and to be part of the great volunteer team that unselfishly give their time and effort to making this organization run safe and well. I wish all a safe and productive season in 2019
